Pompano Beach’s New Skatepark: Another Great Addition to Our Growing Community
Pompano Beach continues to add new amenities that make the city an even more exciting place to live, and one of the newest additions is getting plenty of attention—the brand-new Pompano Beach Skatepark.
Officially opened in July 2026, the new skatepark is located at 1701 NE 8th Street at Pompano Community Park. The city celebrated the grand opening with professional skateboard demonstrations, beginner lessons, competitions, music, food trucks, and family-friendly activities.
A New Destination for Skaters and Families
The new skatepark was designed to be more than a place for experienced skateboarders. The facility was created to welcome people of different ages and skill levels, including skateboarders, inline skaters, BMX riders, and scooter riders.
The park combines street-style and transition elements, giving beginners a place to learn while providing more advanced riders with features to challenge themselves. One of the unique touches is a custom Pompano fish sculpture, which has become a signature feature of the park.
The facility is open seven days a week, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., giving residents plenty of opportunities to enjoy the park.
Why This Matters to Pompano Beach
Projects like the new skatepark are part of what makes Pompano Beach such an attractive place for families, young professionals, and people looking for an active South Florida lifestyle.
Parks and recreational facilities provide residents with places to exercise, meet neighbors, spend time with family, and enjoy the outdoors. The new skatepark adds another activity to an already growing list of recreational opportunities throughout the city.
Located within the larger Pompano Community Park area, the skatepark also gives visitors access to a broader recreational environment.
